The People of Danann

Welcome Home

This tour is designed for people with Celtic roots to get a true and authentic look at their ancient past, their royal Celtic lineage and modern-day Celtic culture. This is a feat of cultural immersion that has never been done before. According to ancient Celtic mythology “the people of Danann” or “tuatha dé Danann”, are the most ancient of settlers who made home in the Ireland before being driven out of the land or underground by the ancient Milesians the race of which folk all northern Celts are descended from. Four primary families or houses are the origin of all northern Celts. Find out what house you belong to, as you get a true insight into the significance of each house as they split into ancient clans that gave birth to high kings and queens in historic/ unique Celtic septs and kingdoms that shape the modern Celtic isle and peoples.

History

Also learn of the deep and mysterious spiritual footprint that the ancient people of Danann left on the land before disappearing before the Milesians. Their lingering spiritual presence is interwoven into ancient Celtic, post Christian and even modern Celtic culture. The people here are full of superstition, with a fascination but also healthy fear for the spiritual nature of these isles. Laws and customs have been made with account to the mystical. This is a main proponent of why Celtic people have a deep respect and connection to the land they live on. Much like native Americans, before the British invasion the culture was firmly centered around this respect of the land and the natural elements it possesses.
